FRIDAY EVENING, NOVEMBER 10TH, 2017
FROM 6-9PM, BYOW (weed) ENCOURAGED, 21+
BURN ONE DOWN. Join Make & Mary for a unique cannabis experience, in a beautiful and private Portland creative studio. A NEW KIND OF MAKING
There's nothing like the smell of burnt wood on a fall day, and the gratification of creating something new from something already existing. In this workshop attendees will learn to transfer images onto beautiful wooden pipes, handcrafted by Rairfield Hard Pipes.
You'll learn different techniques in the art of Pyrography, and an assortment of art inspiration and templates will be provided for you to customize your very own pipe. Or you can just go freestyle and draw something on your own!
All are welcomed. Bring your date, your mom, your friends, or just come alone! You must be 21+ of course.
Space is limited.
All materials, food, mocktails, and natural inspiration included!
This is a 21+ event, be prepared to show your I.D.
PS. We’ll also talk with our friends at Jayne, a dispensary where even your mom feels welcomed.
About the pipes: Each attendee will receive a pipe made from hard woods (oak, maple, cherry, beech, mahogany or hickory) They are hand-crafted in South Carolina and come in a sweet little package, no two are alike. The bowl is torched to bring out the flavors of the wood and to improve taste.
About the Artist: Bridger Swinimer is a professional jazz/fusion bassist by night and an aspiring artistic photographer by day. He has studied many different art forms throughout his life and started pipe making as a hobby less than a year ago. “I wanted to bring the cannabis industry something elegant and help break the stigmas surrounding it.”
